Week 4
Week 4: Flood
Tonight, we talked about the Flood.
Good. Good. Good. Good. Good. Good. Very Good.
Remember those words? God said them at creation.
But ever since Adam and Eve ate from the off-limits tree, we might say that the words bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, and very bad best describe what has happened.
It was bad that Eve got tricked by the serpent. Bad that Adam disobeyed God.
Adam & Eve had their first child, Cain. He ended up killing his own brother, Abel.
Things have gotten really really bad in a short amount of time. Genesis 6 tells us that they only did bad things ALL THE TIME. God would send the flood to wipe the earth clean and start again. Only one righteous man named Noah and his family would be safe.

Review questions:
How did the people act when Noah was alive? Did they love God? No! They did evil all the time.
Why did God choose Noah to build the ark? Noah loved and served God.
How many years did it take Noah to build the ark? 100 years.
What did God promise to Noah after he got off the ark? To never flood the earth again
What does He gives as a sign of this promise or covenant? A rainbow
PRETEEN DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
What were some words to describe the people when Noah was alive? How did God feel about this? They were doing evil all the time. God loved the world He had made but He didn’t love what the people had become due to sin.
How does it make you feel to know that God sees everything you do and think?
What would have happened if Noah didn’t trust God and His promises? How should we respond to God’s word?
