Week 5

Week 5: Tower of Babel

Tonight, we learned about the Tower of Babel. At one time, there was only one language and everyone spoke it. Everyone lived in one place. If we remember what God told Adam & Eve, then we know that God told them to go all over the earth, not just to stay in one place.

Genesis 11 tells us that there was a group of people who wanted to make themselves as great as God, instead of showing everyone how great God is. The nations came up with what they thought was a great idea. They decided to try to build a tower all the way up to heaven, so that everyone would see how amazing they were!

God doesn’t have a problem with tall buildings, but He does have a problem with people who think they are bigger than Him.
