Hey there! I’m JD (short for John David), and I’ve been serving at Fellowship Community Church since 2023. I grew up in Longview, Texas as a pastor’s kid, so I’ve been around church life for as long as I can remember.

I graduated from East Texas Baptist University, where I met my wife, Bethany. We got married in 2010 and have spent most of our married life in the Shreveport area raising our two kids, Karis and Josiah. Bethany also serves on staff as our Midweek Kids Coordinator and teaches in our Core Class program.

I came to faith at a young age, but over time the Lord grew in me a deep passion for discipleship and helping people truly follow Jesus. Through different ministry roles—and even a season serving as missionaries in Guatemala—God shaped a clear calling in my life to help address the need for biblical literacy in the church.

After earning my Master’s degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, I have served in a variety of roles ranging from Kids Pastor to Associate Pastor across Northwest Louisiana.

At FCC, I oversee all Discipleship from kids to adults, helping people connect, grow, and take their next step with Jesus, while directly overseeing Life Groups and Core Classes. My heart is to see people love God deeply and know His Word, as we grow together as a church and live on mission.

When I’m not at the church, I love spending time with my family, drinking good coffee, cooking BBQ, playing pickleball, and traveling.
